Sprint 98

🪄 Improvements

💬  Updated Support and Community Modals

Is this release note a mere excuse to brag about our brand-new Community and revamped Customer Support Portal? Maybe.

But, I mean, can you blame us?

The in-app ‘Contact Support’ option now takes you to our shiny new portal, where submitting a support ticket is easier than getting a meal through Doordash. Check it out here

Additionally, when you click on ‘Product Feedback,’ you’ll now land in a dedicated space within the Apptega Community. Hit us with all your product ideas and take a look around the different discussions while you’re at it.

You’ll find dozens of peers to share insights and best practices with, the latest info about our events and product, and even a scoop of the latest cybersecurity and compliance news.

See ya there!

✍️ Renamed Scoring History tab in Full Program Report

Downloading the Excel version of the Full Program Report and seeing the “Scoring History” tab left some of you scratching your heads. We’ve renamed it "Sub-control Scoring History" so you know exactly what you’re getting into. Plus, a new "Control History" tab will be added soon for even more detailed reporting.

📄 Replaced Objective Criteria Name with Objective Criteria Overview/Description on SSP Reports

The control names and enumerations on SSP Reports for NIST 800-171 and CMMC 2.0 didn’t say much without additional context. We’ve added detailed overviews/descriptions to them so you can get more value out of your reports.

🔄 Improved Integrations Usability

Life is too short to stare at unnecessary loading spinners. That’s why we adjusted the spinner in our integrations page, so it only shows in the specific content slot instead of the full page. Plus, we’ve adjusted the authentication form spacing for better legibility.

🪳🔨 Bugs Bashed

  • Program score dial showing incorrectly on CMMC: Our CMMC assessment header dial had a bug that made it show the SPRS score instead of the program score. With SPRS scores dipping as low as -203, the needle was pointing off the charts — quite literally. We’ve fixed it so the dial now correctly displays the program score, keeping everything neatly within bounds
  • Additional fields for mapped programs not getting synced: We’ve fixed a bug that kept implementation details and practice status fields from syncing across mapped programs. Now, everything’s back in perfect Harmony
  • Incorrect dial calculations for “Not Applicable” sub-controls: Marking a sub-control as "Not Applicable" was triggering a full-on dial rebellion: scores went haywire and the score header turned into a total flip-flopper, changing based on how "Not Applicable" was marked. We’ve put an end to this mutiny, so now your dials and headers are back in perfect agreement.
  • Incorrect sub-control description text when crosswalking frameworks: Only good things should happen when you crosswalk frameworks: a faster compliance journey, taking your kids for ice cream with that extra time, and savoring the sweet victory of avoiding duplicative work. Seeing incorrect sub-control descriptions after harmonizing framework controls isn’t part of the list, so we made sure it won’t happen again.
  • Organization company logo not reverting to default logo when the organization branding was disabled: When an organization’s branding was turned off, their logo would not revert to the default partner or Apptega’s logo. But just like The Beatles weren’t the same without Ringo, your brand didn't feel like itself without its logo — or Apptega’s logo, if that was your default —, so we brought them back.
